NeurAxis (NYSE: NRXS) is a neuromodulation medical technology company offering therapy based on its proprietary Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Field Stimulation ("PENFS") technology.
I FOMOed myself into this stock today. Very interesting. Do you have any information on how much money has been spent on product development so far and what kind of moat the company has? I'm not talking about patents, because nowadays everyone has patents for everything. I'm more interested in how much has been spent on R&D so far and how much an FDA clearance would cost for a new entrant. How much has been spent on studies so far?
@adamo. Thank you for reading and your interest. I do not have a figure on how much was spent on developing this product but it has been a long road where the application changed as I described in the article and many studies conducted in addition to the FDA process.
There are many companies currently going through the FDA process that utilize electric Neuromodulation for various maladies from insomnia to Parkinson’s to just feeling good. I do not know if any that have begun or announced an intention to compete in NeurAxis’ space.
I am satisfied with FDA approval and the insurance reimbursement code serving as a moat.
This company will become an acquisition target if they are commercially successful. That won’t happen in January. I hope to ride this for multi bag grand slam.
